[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] LG Uplus(032640)invited 1,100 long-term customers who have used its services for over 10 years to a musical performance.
LG Uplus announced on the 20th that it held an event for long-term customers to attend the musical “Dear Evan Hansen” at the Grand Theater of the Chungmu Art Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 18th. Following its precedent as the first telecommunications company to host a program inviting all attendees to a full-house musical performance, the company once again secured every seat in the theater for this event.
For this event, 1,100 customers were invited after being selected by lottery from those who had applied in advance. Customers attended the performance with family or friends and participated in prize drawings and commemorative events after the show. Some of the winners were also given the opportunity to take photos with the musical’s lead actors.

LG Uplus organized this event with the aim of expanding its long-term customers’ cultural and leisure experiences by providing them with the opportunity to attend the performance.
This event is part of LG Uplus’s “Long-Term Customer Invitation Program.” Starting with the musical “Lempika” earlier this year, LG Uplus has continued to offer programs for long-term customers, including an invitation to Hwadam Forest, the Legoland RUN, and the Legoland Waterful Party.
Last March, the company invited 1,000 long-term customers—those who have been with the company for five years or more—to the musical “Lempika.” In April, it reserved Hwadam Forest in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and invited 3,000 long-term customers, and in August, it held the “Legoland Waterful Party” at Legoland Water Park.
The company will continue to hold events for long-term customers in the second half of the year. It plans to host an invitation-only event at Hwadam Forest in October and a movie screening event in December.
LG Uplus plans to expand its experiential programs—such as performances, travel, and leisure activities—that allow long-term customers to participate directly, in addition to discount-based benefits.
Jang Jun-young, Head of the Marketing Group at LG Uplus (Senior Vice President), said, “We would like to express our deep gratitude to our long-term customers who have trusted and stayed with LG Uplus for so long,” adding, “We will continue to provide a variety of experiences that our long-term customers can truly enjoy across culture, leisure, and everyday life.”
