[E-Daily Reporter SOYEON KIM ] SamsungElectronics hosted the “Samsung AI Forum 2026” on the 30th at the SamsungElectronics Seocho Building in Seocho-gu, Seoul. The forum, attended by world-renowned scholars and experts in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), marked its 10th anniversary this year.

This year’s theme was “The Agentic Shift: From Intelligence to Impact.” A total of 400 people attended the forum, including 100 professors and researchers from domestic AI graduate schools and 300 SamsungElectronics employees working in the AI field. The event was livestreamed online via YouTube.

Jeon Young-hyun, Vice Chairman and CEO of SamsungElectronics, stated, “Agentic AI will go beyond mere technological innovation to bring about fundamental changes in the way we work and in organizational culture,” adding, “We will drive tangible AI technological innovation.”

At this year’s Samsung AI Forum, keynote speeches were delivered by Richard Ho, Head of Hardware at OpenAI; a Green AI technology leader from AWS; Ranjay Krishna, a professor at the University of Washington; and Yoon Kim, Senior Vice President at Samsung Research.

The morning session featured keynote speeches by experts and leading scholars from big tech companies driving the global AI ecosystem. Richard Ho, Vice President of Hardware at OpenAI, discussed the changes that agentic AI—which makes autonomous decisions based on large language models (LLMs)—will bring to businesses and industries as a whole. He emphasized that AI models can drive productivity innovation.

Vice President Ho was one of the key members involved in the early development of Google’s AI accelerator, the TPU. He is currently leading the “Jalapeño” project—OpenAI’s first AI inference chip, jointly developed with Broadcom last June.

In the subsequent keynote address, David Green, AWS’s AI Technology Leader for the Asia-Pacific and Japan region, presented security and governance strategies for safely and cost-effectively implementing agentic AI in enterprise environments.

Ranjay Krishna, a professor at the University of Washington and a renowned researcher in the field of physical AI, presented a new paradigm that overcomes the inference limitations of vision and language models and enables the implementation of high-performance robotics AI even with small models. Additionally, Yoon Kim, Executive Vice President at Samsung Research (and adjunct professor at MIT), a leading researcher in generative AI and language models, introduced innovative approaches to next-generation “Agentic Intelligence” architectures.

In the afternoon, the event was divided into the Device Experience (DX) Division and the Device Solutions (DS) Division to discuss specific research achievements and application cases. The DS Division focused on AX (AI Transformation) innovation, while the DX Division centered on AI technology.

In the DS Division’s AX Innovation track, presentations followed on AI currently being applied directly to the semiconductor business and case studies of AI transformation by global partners. Global partners such as Dell Technologies and Anthropic introduced methods for applying trustworthy AI agents to business operations, as well as approaches and case studies for building enterprise AI factories.

Subsequently, the DS Division’s AX/PI Center presented best practices in design and manufacturing innovation achieved by applying AI across the entire semiconductor workflow and shared directions for AI-based operational innovation aimed at resolving various on-site challenges.
