[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] As the group BTS continues to tour the world with their "ARIRANG" world tour, a "BTS Avenue" has been established in Lima, Peru, following the one in Toronto, Canada.

BTS will hold “ARIRANG” concerts at Estadio San Marcos in Lima, Peru, on the 7th and from the 9th to the 10th (all times local).
To commemorate their concerts, the Santiago de Surco district decided to temporarily rename Sacramento Street in the Surco area as “BTS Avenue” for one week, from the 5th to the 11th, and installed signs to announce the change. Previously, in August, the city of Toronto, Canada, temporarily added the honorary street name “BTS Avenue” to a section of a city road for about a month to coincide with BTS’s concert dates.
In addition to the street name change, various attractions are being held in Lima to welcome BTS. The Arco Morisco, a landmark structure in Surco’s Friendship Park, was illuminated in purple—BTS’s signature color—on the 5th. A light show dedicated to BTS will be held daily through the 11th. During the same period, a BTS-themed event featuring music, lights, and a water screen will take place at the “Fantasy Fountain” in Lima’s Fountain Park, another iconic tourist attraction.
This marks the first time the group, which debuted in 2013, has visited Peru. “Peru Travel,” the country’s official tourism website, highlighted BTS’s Lima concert as an opportunity to showcase Peru’s cuisine, culture, and natural landscapes. It is expected that visitors from around the world who have gathered to see the concert will enjoy the city’s history and scenery and expand their travels to various parts of Peru, such as Paracas and Machu Picchu.
BTS kicked off the South American leg of their world tour on the 2nd and 3rd at Estadio El Campín in Bogotá, Colombia, drawing approximately 100,000 fans over the two days. Regarding the Bogotá concert, Rolling Stone en Español described it as “the concert an entire generation had been waiting for,” adding, “BTS lived up to expectations and, at many moments, exceeded them.”
