Through this agreement, the two companies plan to expand the supply of ROMI to target the global market and jointly pursue new business opportunities. Sales of more than 100 ROMI units are expected over the next three years, and the companies plan to accelerate their overseas business by combining Bibliotheca’s extensive global sales and service network with NRobotics’ robotic technology. Biblotheca, the partner company, is a specialist firm that has led the library technology sector for over 50 years and currently provides solutions to more than 30,000 libraries in over 70 countries. Notably, prior to this agreement, it had already exported library robots to major countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Denmark, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Japan. The “Romi” robot to be supplied is an intelligent user-guidance robot that combines autonomous navigation technology with radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology. It performs core functions essential for overall library operations, ranging from personalized user guidance to book searches, loan and return assistance, and book location guidance. A key feature is its design as a modular AI robot platform that allows for the flexible addition and modification of functions to suit specific industrial sites and operational environments. This enables the scope of application to be broadened in multiple directions—beyond libraries to include administrative services, logistics, security, and manufacturing. NRobotics plans to expand its business into maintenance, system implementation, and operations services by further refining its software and control technologies to ensure seamless integration with clients’ existing systems. An NRobotics official stated, “Our efforts over the past two years to secure international certifications and advance our technology have finally yielded tangible results,” adding, “Building on Romi’s successful global launch, we will expand our AI robot platform to various industries—including public services, education, culture, logistics, security, administration, and manufacturing—with customized solutions.”
