[Edaily Starin Choi Hee-jae Reporter] Koo Kyo-hwan and Han Ji-min to Star Together in a Disaster-Escape Comedy

Distributor CJ ENM announced on the 14th, “The film ‘Typhoon’ (working title) has finalized its entertaining cast lineup, featuring Koo Kyohwan, Han Ji-min, Oh Jung-se, Han Sun-hwa, Kim Eung-soo, Oh Min-ae, Kim Yo-han, and Choi Ji-soo.”

*Typhoon* (working title) is a hilarious disaster-escape comedy about Jin-mo (Koo Kyo-hwan) and Jae-i (Han Ji-min), who have decided to break up, as they find themselves caught in a massive typhoon while attending a relative’s wedding in their hometown.

“Jin-mo,” played by Koo Kyo-hwan, is a self-made man from a small provincial town who graduated from S University and joined a major corporation, but is now a run-of-the-mill office worker stuck in the rank of assistant manager. In “Typhoon” (working title), Koo Kyo-hwan is set to showcase his unique, down-to-earth charm through his transformation into the role of a down-to-earth husband and father.

Han Ji-min plays “Jae-i,” the wife of the exasperating husband “Jin-mo.” Once a rising star at a publishing company, she boldly decided to quit her job after marriage, believing she couldn’t balance work and parenting, and now dreams of becoming a YouTuber—a sharp and feisty character. In the film, “Jae-i” uses the know-how from her “Life Hacks Channel” to find a way out of every disaster situation, demonstrating quick wit. The combination of her resourceful personality and Han Ji-min’s signature lovable charm promises to create a truly iconic character.

Following the intensely dynamic couple of Koo Kyo-hwan and Han Ji-min—whose chemistry is as powerful as a typhoon—Oh Jung-se takes on the role of “Sang-hyuk,” a friend of the couple. As “Jin-mo’s” childhood friend and a 119 rescue worker, he bravely risks his life to save the couple when they find themselves in a disaster, only to end up stranded alongside them. Oh Jung-se’s portrayal of a lovable, free-spirited character is expected to be one of the film’s top highlights.

In addition, Han Sun-hwa takes on the role of “Rose,” the owner of the vacation rental. She’s a tightwad who absolutely refuses to offer discounts even during a typhoon, yet she’s also a romantic who dreams of a love story like *Titanic*. Following the drama *Everyone Is Fighting Their Own Worthlessness*, she reunites with Koo Kyo-hwan and Oh Jung-se to work together once again.

Kim Eung-soo and Oh Min-ae join the cast as Hyun-deok and Pil-ja, a couple who have been together for 48 years and travel the country in a camper van. The two, who bicker but look out for each other, are set to add warmth to the story.

Kim Yo-han and Choi Ji-soo play “Dae-han” and “Cha-young,” a couple on the verge of marriage who encounter “Jin-mo” and “Jae-i” amid a disaster. They breathe life into the drama with their sweet, affectionate moments, touting their unfounded belief that their married life will be happier than anyone else’s.

Director Lee Jung-ho, known for the films *Beast* and *Wandering Blade*, is writing and directing the series. Following Koo Kyo-hwan and Han Ji-min, actors with strong individuality—including Oh Jung-se, Han Sun-hwa, and Kim Eung-soo—have joined the cast, promising a delightful ensemble.
