[E-Daily Reporter JAEMIN SONG ] LGELECTRONICS’ wireless wallpaper TV, the “LG Signature OLED W,” has been named one of the top inventions of the year by the U.S. newsweekly *Time*.

LGELECTRONICS announced on the 16th that the LG Signature OLED W was named among Time’s “Best Inventions of 2026” in the home appliance category. Time highly praised the product for overcoming the limitations inherent in the design and installation methods of existing wallpaper TVs.

Conventional wallpaper TVs required the key hardware necessary for operation to be housed in separate external devices in order to achieve an ultra-slim design. The LG Signature OLED W, however, has reduced its thickness to just 9 mm while integrating all major components—including the panel, power board, mainboard, and speakers—into the TV itself. Its all-in-one design, which allows it to be installed flush against the wall, also eliminates the need for separate speaker installation.

Video and audio are transmitted wirelessly via the “Zero Connect Box.” By connecting external devices—such as set-top boxes and game consoles—to the Zero Connect Box, users can access content without having to deal with a tangle of cables around the TV. The box can be installed up to 10 meters away from the TV, and its size has been reduced by 35% compared to existing wireless TV products.

The product features the world’s first wireless technology capable of transmitting 4K resolution video and audio at a 165 Hz refresh rate without any loss or delay. This allows users to enjoy not only ultra-high-definition video but also games that require rapid screen transitions—all without the need for cable connections.

LGELECTRONICS’ “Hyper Radiant Color” technology enhances picture quality. It combines the “3rd Generation Alpha AI 11 Processor”—the latest OLED picture and sound processor—with “Reflection-Free Premium” technology, which reduces screen glare. This product is a wireless evolution of the ultra-slim design first introduced in 2017 with the “LG Signature OLED TV W,” the world’s first wallpaper TV.

Each year, *Time* selects the “Best Inventions” by comprehensively evaluating criteria such as originality, practicality, innovation, and impact to identify products and ideas that drive change in daily life and industry. This year, a total of 300 products and ideas, including the LG Corp. Signature OLED W, made the list.
