[Edaily Reporter SHIN MIN JOON ] Shinsegae Co.,Ltd Live Shopping is stepping up its efforts to tap into demand for travel to Japan. This is because domestic tourism demand for trips to Japan—particularly for shopping—continues to grow amid the weak yen. The yen-won exchange rate currently stands at around 850 won, indicating that the yen remains weak.

On the 18th, Shinsegae Co.,Ltd Live Shopping will unveil a premium 3-night, 4-day travel package to Kyoto. The itinerary is designed around the themes of Kyoto’s hot springs and contemplation, allowing travelers to enjoy history, culture, and relaxation all at once.
Travelers can choose departure dates for this package from November through March of next year. The package includes accommodations at a hotel featuring an in-room hot spring bath, a private temple tour guided by a monk, a visit to Hosen-in Temple, and a kaiseki course prepared by a master Japanese chef. To enhance travel convenience, the company is also providing round-trip limousine service to and from Incheon International Airport for customers in Seoul and certain areas of Gyeonggi Province.
Orders for Shinsegae Co.,Ltd’s Japan travel packages have grown by more than 20% so far this year. In particular, the number of Japan packages featured over the past three months has increased by 35% compared to the previous year. A Japan Kyushu travel package broadcast last week achieved 198% of its sales target.
A Shinsegae Co.,Ltd Live Shopping official stated, “Japan is a destination with steady demand due to its excellent accessibility and the variety of travel experiences available throughout the seasons,” adding, “We plan to continue providing distinctive travel experiences through a diverse range of Japan travel packages tailored to customer preferences.”
