[Edaily Reporter Choi Oh-hyun ] LGELECTRONICS has unveiled a new premium humidifier and air purifier that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to manage indoor humidity and air quality. It features increased humidification capacity and air purification performance, as well as enhanced hygiene management functions, making it suitable for use even in large living rooms.

LGELECTRONICS announced on the 18th the launch of the “LG Puricare HydroTower Max.” The new product combines purified water humidification technology, space-customized AI humidification, and air purification functions. During winter and seasonal transitions, users can utilize both the humidification and air purification functions simultaneously, while in other seasons, the device can be used solely as an air purifier.

The new product incorporates a four-step hygiene management system that includes water purification, sterilization, air purification, and drying. Water filtered through a purification filter is heated to 100°C to sterilize it before being humidified using ultrasonic technology. It uses air that has passed through a purification filter, and once humidification is complete, it recovers any remaining water inside the unit and automatically dries it.

The newly added “Space-Adaptive AI Humidification” feature analyzes environmental factors—such as room size and temperature—to automatically adjust the optimal humidification level. This allows users to manage indoor humidity without manually setting the humidification level.

Humidification performance reaches a maximum of 850 cc per hour. Equipped with a 4.5-liter stainless steel water tank, it can operate continuously for up to 18 hours on medium fan speed in standard humidification mode. The air purification coverage area is approximately 66 square meters (20 pyeong), sufficient to handle the living room of a typical 30–40 pyeong apartment. A dust sensor also allows users to monitor indoor air quality in real time.

Convenience features have also been enhanced. It offers three themed mood lights—campfire, AURORA WORLD Corporation, and ripples—as well as 12 standard color options. At bedtime, users can utilize a 26 dB low-noise mode and an automatic shut-off function that uses a light sensor. Wheels are attached to the bottom of the unit to facilitate movement.

The launch price is 2.39 million won. For subscribers, services such as a complete internal disassembly and cleaning service are provided in the third year of the subscription.
