LG HelloVision announced on the 20th that it will run a special segment titled “Parliamentary Oversight Hearings: Asking About the Regions” during the 2026 parliamentary oversight hearings through its local channel news program, “Hello TV News.” The initiative aims to shed light on issues closely tied to the daily lives of local residents and to foster policy improvements.

This special series will cover issues closely tied to daily life, such as changes in coastal ecosystems due to climate change, disparities in infrastructure for foreign medical tourism, and local educational conditions.

Recently, the series examined coastal safety measures and the livelihoods of fishermen by reporting on shark sightings near Busan’s North Port caused by rising water temperatures. It also highlighted the concentration of demand for medical tourism from foreign visitors in the Seoul metropolitan area, disparities in course offerings at small high schools, and teacher shortages.

LG HelloVision plans to examine not only the questions posed by National Assembly members but also the responses from government ministries and audited agencies, as well as future countermeasures. The network intends to cover follow-up discussions to ensure that regional issues raised during the parliamentary audit do not remain mere one-time criticisms but lead to tangible policy changes.
