As the use of AI in the healthcare field expands beyond clinical support to include research, administration, and hospital operations, the importance of verifying and demonstrating technologies that integrate medical data and apply them to actual workflows is growing.

The two companies plan to combine KTCorporation’s capabilities in integrated AI, cloud, and data infrastructure with Acryl Inc.’s experience in building medical data platforms and medical AI solutions to develop business models tailored to the specific needs of individual hospitals.

To this end, they will pursue the following initiatives: ▲ establishing a foundation for the standardization and utilization of medical data; ▲ jointly developing and demonstrating medical AI technologies and services; and ▲ conducting R&D, commercialization, and widespread adoption of medical AI. Through joint proposals and demonstrations tailored to individual medical institutions, they will establish a collaborative framework that spans from technology validation to commercialization, while also exploring government and public research projects as well as new business opportunities.

KTCorporation is supporting the adoption of AX at tertiary general hospitals and general hospitals based on a healthcare standardization model that provides infrastructure, data platforms, and AI services tailored to each hospital’s needs. Through this collaboration, the company plans to expand its partnerships with specialized healthcare firms and pursue customized projects for individual hospitals.

Park Oe-jin, CEO of Acryl Inc., stated, “Based on our technology and field experience—which spans from the integration and utilization of medical data to the development and operation of specialized AI models—we will work with KTCorporation to enhance our services and achieve business results, thereby expanding our business opportunities in the domestic medical AI market.”

Noh Hyung-rae, Executive Vice President and Head of the Enterprise Business Division at KTCorporation’s Enterprise Division, stated, “The core of Medical AX lies in utilizing hospital data for actual patient care, research, and operations to create tangible changes on the ground.” He added, “By linking with KTCorporation’s healthcare standardization model, we will pursue customized projects for each hospital and lead the expansion of Medical AX.”
