On the 20th, SamsungElectronics announced that it had sequentially held the home appliance tech seminar “The Brief” in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, South Asia, and Southeast Asia from April through October of this year.

Approximately 270 key media representatives and influencers from a total of 23 countries attended the events and experienced various products firsthand. They recognized the value of AI home appliances as “Home Companions” that not only reduce the burden of household chores and manage energy efficiency but also attentively care for families’ daily lives.

At these events, SamsungElectronics highlighted customized AI home appliance technologies and use cases tailored to regional characteristics, including: △ kitchen-centric AI homes in North America; △ high-efficiency built-in AI appliances in Europe; △ SmartThings-based AI home experiences in Latin America; △ AI appliances customized to local climates and family cultures in South Asia; and △ home and business appliance solutions in Southeast Asia.

Held at the Samsung Showroom in New Jersey from April 15 to 16 (local time), “The Brief New York” proposed an AI-powered home lifestyle designed to reduce the burden of household chores and enhance quality of life. SamsungElectronics demonstrated various features that improve the convenience of daily kitchen tasks—from food management to cooking—through AI technologies applied to appliances such as refrigerators and ovens.

Participants experienced the “AI Vision” feature of the “Bespoke AI Family Hub” refrigerator, which recognizes not only ingredients but also container labels to add items to a food list. The “AI Pro Cooking” feature of the “Bespoke AI Oven,” which detects color changes during cooking and issues an alert, also drew significant attention.

On the 21st of the same month, Samsung held “The Brief Milan” in Milan, Italy, to showcase its high-efficiency AI home appliances. The “Bespoke AI Washing Machine” drew attention for reducing energy consumption by an additional 65% compared to the European energy efficiency standard’s A-grade, while the “Bespoke AI Dishwasher” attracted interest by saving up to an additional 20% in energy compared to the same standard. For the kitchen, the company showcased products such as the “Hood-Integrated Induction Cooktop,” which combines a range hood and an induction cooktop, as well as the “Bespoke AI Dishwasher” featuring a built-in design.

In Latin America, the company introduced integrated home appliance management technology using SmartThings in Brazil and Mexico. In India, taking into account the hot and humid climate, it demonstrated a feature that adjusts cooling based on sleep stages and body temperature changes by linking with the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Ring. Finally, on the 14th of this month in Hanoi, Vietnam, the company previewed heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions targeting corporate customers in sectors such as education, hospitality, and commercial facilities, along with its 2027 model air conditioners. It also emphasized post-purchase management features, including software updates provided for up to seven years and remote diagnostic services for home appliances.

SamsungElectronics plans to continue expanding its AI home appliances and services—which meticulously reflect regional living environments, lifestyles, and consumer needs—to strengthen its competitiveness in the global AI home market.
