[Edaily Reporter Kim Hyun-ah ] The Ministry of Science and ICT will select the name and slogan for “AI for All,” an artificial intelligence (AI) service accessible to all citizens, through a public contest. The Daesang winner will receive a cash prize of 2 million won.
The Ministry announced that it will accept submissions for the “AI for All” policy brand name and slogan from the 26th through the 6th of next month. The goal is to raise awareness of the service’s purpose by having the public directly propose a name for the initiative and to boost interest and participation ahead of its official launch.
“AI for All” is an initiative designed to enable every citizen to easily and affordably use services based on domestic AI models. Last August, the Ministry selected the consortium comprising SKTelecom(017670),Kakao(035720), andKTCorporation(030200) as the project operator, and preparations for the official launch are currently underway.
Any South Korean citizen can participate in the contest. The brand name must be 5 characters or fewer, and the slogan must be 20 characters or fewer. Entrants should combine both into a single proposal, write a description of their creative intent in 300 characters or fewer, and submit it via the online submission page. Each person may submit only one entry.
Judging will be based on criteria such as policy alignment, usability and scalability, originality, and communicative impact. Results will be announced on November 16. A total of six entries will be selected, including one Daesang winner who will receive 2 million won, for a total prize pool of 5.5 million won. Ten winners will also be selected by random drawing from among valid entrants (excluding prize winners) to receive gift certificates worth 50,000 won each.
The selected brand name and slogan will be used on the “AI for All” service interface and in promotional materials, in consultation with the participating companies.
