The event was attended by executives from partner companies in key construction sectors, including architecture, civil engineering, mechanical and electrical systems, and plant construction.
At the event, KUMHOE&C selected and recognized three partner companies for their outstanding safety and health management performance. Cho Wan-seok, President and CEO of KUMHOE&C, personally presented the awards and discussed measures to improve on-site safety management with the partner companies.
Training sessions were also held to enhance the safety management capabilities of partner companies. Lee Doo-hang, an instructor from Shin Young Labor Law Firm, explained the types of illnesses and accidents that can occur at construction sites, as well as prevention and response measures, under the theme “Case Studies of Illnesses and Accidents and Response Strategies.”
KUMHOE&C also shared the current status of “SAFETY ARTERA,” its in-house safety and health support program for partner companies. Launched last October, the program operates by providing regular consultation meetings between partner company executives and staff, as well as safety and health seminars, specialized training, and site-specific technical support.
The company is also promoting the digitization of on-site safety management. Last September, KUMHOE&C filed a patent application for technology related to the “Smart Safety Monitoring System,” which enables real-time identification of hazardous areas within construction sites.
KUMHOE&C plans to continue holding regular consultations with its partner companies and expand support related to on-site safety management.
A KUMHOE&C official stated, “Safety is the top priority on construction sites and the company’s most important competitive advantage,” adding, “We will continue to enhance our occupational safety and health capabilities through close communication and mutually beneficial cooperation with our partner companies, and we will create safe construction sites where all workers can work with peace of mind.”
