Automakers are also flexibly adjusting their electrification strategies and product lineups in response to market conditions, which is causing growth to lag behind initial projections. However, as the trend toward electrification is expected to continue in the medium to long term, the market is projected to maintain its growth momentum. In response to these market changes, LG Magna has expanded its product portfolio to cover various electrification segments, including not only battery electric vehicles (BEVs) but also hybrids. It has also diversified its customer base, which was previously centered on North America, to include automakers in South Korea, Asia, and Europe. The company believes that stable business growth will be possible if the trend toward electrification improves in the future. The Mexico plant, which began operations in September 2023, has undergone a continuous ramp-up and has now entered a stage of stable production; it is contributing to improved business performance by maintaining a share of over 40% of total revenue. The Hungary plant serves as a key hub responding to European automakers’ demands for value chain in-sourcing, and preparations are proceeding smoothly toward the target of mass production in February 2027."
