[Edaily Reporter Kim Se-yeon ] KakaoBank Corp.(323410)is raising the base interest rates on both fixed-term deposits and flexible savings accounts by 0.1 percentage points across the board. As a result, the interest rate on one-year fixed-term deposits will rise to 3.8% per annum, while the interest rate on flexible savings accounts will increase to a maximum of 4.05% per annum, including the preferential rate for automatic transfers.

KakaoBank Corp. announced on the 28th that it will raise the base interest rates for fixed-term deposits and flexible savings accounts by 0.1 percentage points starting on the 29th.
With this increase, the fixed-term deposit rates have been adjusted as follows: △1–3 months: 3.1% △3–6 months: 3.5% △6–12 months: 3.6% △12–24 months: 3.8% △24–36 months: 3.2% △36 months: 3.2%.
Interest rates on flexible savings accounts will also rise by 0.1 percentage points. The interest rate on one-year flexible savings accounts has increased from 3.75% per annum to 3.85%, and when combined with the 0.20 percentage point preferential rate for automatic transfers, the maximum annual rate is 4.05%.
The revised interest rates will apply to accounts opened or renewed on or after the 29th. Existing accounts will continue to earn the interest rate agreed upon at the time of opening.
