Amid growing production of automotive and electronic components in Vietnam, the company’s strategy is to secure demand for precision injection molding equipment and process automation.

WOOJIN PLAIMM CO., LTD announced on the 28th that it had invited Vietnamese industry officials to its headquarters in Boeun, North Chungcheong Province, to conduct a technical exchange as part of the “Technical Assistance for On-site Challenges (TASK)” project for Vietnamese electronics and electrical manufacturing companies, led by the Korea Automotive Research Institute.

The visit, which took place on the 13th, was attended by representatives from the Vietnam Industrial Development Center (IDC) and local manufacturing companies. The delegation toured WOOJIN PLAIMM CO., LTD’s injection molding machine production facility, which spans approximately 210,000 pyeong, and discussed precision molding parameter settings, quality stabilization, and process improvement measures.

WOOJIN PLAIMM CO., LTD introduced its manufacturing facility, where key production processes—from casting to assembly—are carried out under one roof, and shared injection molding technologies and operational know-how applicable to the local production environment in Vietnam. The company plans to use this exchange as an opportunity to expand cooperation with potential local clients and secure future equipment orders.

Vietnam’s plastics industry continues to grow alongside the relocation of production bases by global companies. According to market research firm Mordor Intelligence, the size of Vietnam’s plastics market is projected to increase from 11.84 million metric tons last year to 12.83 million metric tons this year, reaching 19.16 million metric tons by 2031.

In particular, as the production scope expands from the existing packaging-centric structure to high-precision industrial components—such as automotive parts and electronic and electrical products—the importance of high-performance injection molding machines and process automation technology is also growing.

In response to these market changes, WOOJIN PLAIMM CO., LTD is strengthening support for local customers, primarily through its branches in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The company plans to secure demand for precision molding equipment by expanding technical cooperation not only with local manufacturers but also with global companies operating in Vietnam.

The company is expanding its export base by leveraging overseas hubs in North America and Southeast Asia. In particular, it plans to position Vietnam as a key hub for penetrating the Southeast Asian market and increase the supply of high-value-added injection molding machines to boost the proportion of overseas sales and profitability.
