On the 28th, SamsungElectronics announced that it had hosted the “12th DX Division Global EHS Partner Day” at the SamsungElectronics Win-Win Cooperation Academy in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.

Following events held in China last June and Vietnam last October, this domestic event—attended by approximately 180 participants, including partner company executives and employees as well as SamsungElectronics officials—featured programs such as safety experience booths, exhibitions of best practices, and presentations.

At the AI and smart experiential safety booths set up at the venue, safety technologies that can be immediately applied to partner companies’ sites were introduced, including: △ digitization of occupational safety and health documents; △ prevention of heat-related illnesses using smartwatches; △ AI-powered mobile TBM (pre-work safety briefings) and interpretation and training for foreign workers; and △ CPR training systems.

In addition, the event showcased on-site improvement cases from partner companies that won the Best Practices Contest and featured a “Safety & Environment Advisory Corner” where partner company staff could receive one-on-one consultations with SamsungElectronics safety and environment experts. A special lecture on ESG was also held, helping attendees deepen their understanding of the latest trends in the safety and environment field and practical implementation strategies.

At the Best Practices Presentation Contest, five partner companies—DK Co., Ltd., DH Jeonggong Co., Ltd., Shinhung Co., Ltd., Yoonam Electric Co., Ltd., and Samgwang Co., Ltd.—presented the improvement activities and results they had implemented at their respective sites. Attendees shared each company’s experiences and practical examples to explore ways to apply them on-site, creating an opportunity to enhance safety and environmental capabilities through mutual learning.

This was followed by presentations on best practices and an awards ceremony for partner companies that won the contest. SamsungElectronics plans to produce and distribute a best practices handbook within the year to spread on-site improvement activities across its entire partner network.

Lee Jun-hwa, Executive Vice President and CSO (Chief Safety and Health Officer) of SamsungElectronics’ Global EHS Office, stated, “A leader’s role and actions are paramount when it comes to safety,” adding, “We will continue to support our partner companies so they can create safe workplaces and grow together with us.”
