[Edaily Reporter LEE YUNHWA ] “We believe that responding to Tesla or Chinese automakers in the domestic market by frequently adjusting prices—as Tesla or other Chinese OEMs do—would undermine the value of our customers’ assets. We are defending our market position by implementing measures to enhance the competitiveness of our installment plans, such as residual value deferral installment plans, which keep monthly payments at a level that Chinese competitors cannot match. Another area where we’ve established a significant lead over Chinese manufacturers is our service network. We have 1,000 EV service locations domestically, while Tesla has about 16, as far as I know. The cumulative number of registered vehicles per location is 290 for us, compared to over 12,000 for Tesla. We’ve further reduced the lead time for accident repairs—which is already within one week—to five days. I understand it takes nearly two weeks for Tesla. We aim to supply parts within one hour. We achieve this within one hour 92% of the time and within one day 99% of the time. Tesla reportedly takes longer—about one to two weeks. We are highlighting this as a key selling point to customers."
