[E-Daily Reporter Han Jeon-jin ] HYUNDAIDEPARTMENTSTORECO.,LTD(069960)is opening the first flagship store of its K-content export platform, “The Hyundai Global,” in Omotesando, Tokyo, Japan, and is set to begin its full-scale expansion into overseas markets.

This marks the first time a Korean department store has opened a large-scale flagship store in a key commercial district in Japan.
The store, spanning 620 square meters (187 pyeong), will feature seven brands—including fashion, beauty, food and beverage (F&F), and intellectual property (IP) content—as well as two pop-up spaces. The boy band TWS (TOURS) will serve as the official ambassadors.
The store will feature K-fashion brands such as Koiseio 038, Laura Laura, Stand Oil, and Hieta, as well as Camel Coffee’s first Japanese location and the K-pop and drama content platform “WithM.” It will also host a pop-up commemorating actor Byun Woo-seok’s fan meeting and the first offline pop-up in Japan for the street fashion brand Theg Club.
HYUNDAIDEPARTMENTSTORECO.,LTD plans to use this flagship store as a base to expand its reach into Asian markets such as Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The company aims to support the overseas expansion of K-brands by establishing about 10 flagship stores in major Asian regions, including Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, by 2030.
HYUNDAIDEPARTMENTSTORECO.,LTD official stated, “The Omotesando flagship store will serve as a showroom to introduce K-content not only to Japanese consumers but also to global fashion and retail industry professionals,” adding, “We will continue to support domestic brands in expanding their overseas sales channels.”
