This investment will be carried out in parallel through additional investment by MOTIVELINK CO.,LTD’s wholly-owned subsidiary and the establishment of “DNM AUTO,” a joint venture with DONGYANG E&P INC., with MOTIVELINK CO.,LTD leading the initial investment.
To target the Indian electrification components market, the company has secured a site near its major clients and is currently negotiating the detailed schedule. The total investment scale is 37,800 pyeong—9,700 pyeong for the wholly-owned subsidiary and 28,100 pyeong for the joint venture—and the company plans to establish a vertically integrated production system covering everything from power conversion components to module production.
The two companies are pursuing a five-year joint investment plan with the goal of completing the factory by November of next year, and they plan to adjust the investment schedule based on future customer acquisition progress. The Tamil Nadu state government has agreed to cooperate by providing support for permits and licenses, as well as incentives to foster the power conversion component and module industries.
MOTIVELINK CO.,LTD. also plans to work with DONGYANG E&P INC. to enter the local power industry using solar power generation solutions.
CEO Kim Gi-han stated, “Through this MOU, we have laid the foundation for vertical integration of local production in India,” adding, “With the completion of the plant next year and our entry into the power industry using solar solutions, we will secure future growth engines.”
