[Edaily Starin KIM HYUNSIK Reporter] Singer Y-Story (real name Im Young-ho) has passed away at the age of 49.

News of the deceased’s passing was first reported through a post shared by his girlfriend, Ms. A, on social media on the 11th, and became widely known after a post she published on the 15th went viral online.
In the post, Ms. A wrote, “Since I spent a long time with him and we were as close as family, I held a three-day funeral service for him as if he were my spouse,” adding, “Thanks to the many people who came to pay their respects and shared their warm thoughts, I was able to send him off without him feeling lonely.”
The funeral procession for the deceased was held on the 13th. Ms. A said, “My older brother is now resting peacefully at the Second Memorial Hall in Jeju Yangji Park,” and added, “I sincerely thank everyone who stood by me, prayed for him, and sent their heartfelt condolences.”
Ms. A also paid tribute to the deceased with the following message: “Goodbye, brother. My brother, who worried only about me until the very end. You used to sing, ‘You are my last love,’ and now I’ve truly become your last love. Thank you. In our next life, let’s meet very soon and love each other even more. I love you.”
Wisestory was formerly a member of the bands Cloud Cuckoo Land, Cube, and Deep Sky, and has been active as a solo artist since 2009, releasing songs such as “I Have That Too,” “Drifting Youth,” and “Scent of Spring.” His most recent release was “Sehwa Beach,” unveiled in August 2024. Ms. A did not disclose the cause of death.
