[Edaily Reporter Kim Ji-woo ] Pulmuone Corporate, a food distribution company affiliated with the Pulmuone Corporate(017810) group, is leveraging its expertise in food distribution and community-based initiatives to support the revitalization of the traditional commercial district in Uijeongbu’s old city center and the discovery of local content.

Pulmuone Corporate announced on the 6th that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Uijeongbu City Urban Regeneration Support Center to “revitalize Uijeongbu City’s urban regeneration projects.” The aim is to support the revitalization of the commercial district and local economy in the old downtown area of Uijeongbu-dong, drawing on the company’s experience with community-linked projects.

Both parties will jointly plan and operate programs to revitalize the commercial district in Uijeongbu’s old downtown area and promote collaborative projects targeting residents. They also plan to provide technical and academic advice necessary for the joint projects and cooperate on information sharing and publicity.

Through this agreement, Pulmuone Corporate plans to participate in the “Experimental Restaurant” event hosted by Uijeongbu City on the 25th, where it will operate an experience booth featuring Pulmuone products. The “Experimental Restaurant” is a pop-up event that provides local residents and organizations with an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills. Moving forward, the two parties plan to jointly host cooking classes, educational campaigns, and local events for residents.

Jeong Byeong-su, Executive Vice President of the TMS Sales Division at Pulmuone Corporate, stated, “We are pleased to contribute to the revitalization of the Uijeongbu City community through Pulmuone Corporate’s capabilities.” He added, “Going forward, we plan to actively collaborate with the Uijeongbu City Urban Regeneration Support Center on various initiatives to not only revitalize the local economy but also help the old downtown area develop into a key tourism hub for Uijeongbu City.”
