[Edaily Reporter Kim Ji-woo ] Hong Kong Banjeom’s “Pork Rice Soup Jjamppong,” previously available only in the Busan, Ulsan, and Yangsan areas, will expand its sales to stores nationwide for two weeks in response to customer demand.

#The BORN Korea’s Hong Kong Banjeom 0410 announced on the 6th that it will offer a limited-time sale of Busan’s “Pork Rice Soup Jjamppong”—the first region-specific menu item under the “Paldo Hong Kong Banjeom” project—at stores nationwide through the 19th.

“Paldo Hong Kong Banjeom” is a project that features menus developed using local cuisine and specialties from eight regions across the country, available exclusively at stores in those specific regions. Hong Kong Banjeom launched “Pork Rice Soup Jjamppong” as its first product last June at 24 designated stores in the Busan, Ulsan, and Yangsan areas.

Pork Rice Soup Jjamppong is a dish that reinterprets Busan’s local specialty, pork rice soup, as jjamppong. It is characterized by a rich, deeply simmered broth generously topped with meat.

Following the launch, Hong Kong Banjeom received a steady stream of requests from customers in other regions asking for nationwide availability, so the company decided to offer the dish at all its stores nationwide for two weeks. After the nationwide limited-time sale ends, it will be available exclusively at 24 designated locations in the Busan, Ulsan, and Yangsan areas until February 28 of next year.

During the nationwide sales period, a discount promotion will also be held in partnership with Baedal Minjok. Customers who order the Pork Rice Soup Jjamppong through Baedal Minjok will automatically receive a 2,000-won discount. Combined with the 5,000-won discount available on Hong Kong Banjeom menu items from the 10th to the 16th, customers can enjoy a total discount of up to 7,000 won.
