Yonata Electronics, the partner in this joint venture, is a semiconductor testing specialist firm co-founded by a number of professional engineers with experience working at leading global semiconductor testing companies. Building on its outstanding technical capabilities, the company has long provided cutting-edge technical consulting services to firms in major global semiconductor markets and regions, including the United States, Japan, and Taiwan, and is an innovative company demonstrating strong technological competitiveness and rapid growth.
Starting with the signing of this MOU, the two companies plan to complete the procedures for establishing a joint venture (JV) by the end of September this year and finish building the infrastructure necessary for equipment manufacturing and testing by the end of the year. Subsequently, they will begin producing prototypes while also launching full-scale marketing and sales activities targeting both domestic and international markets.
As its first phase of operations, the new joint venture will focus on the research and development, manufacturing, and sales of WAT and o-WAT test equipment. The strategy is to verify the technical excellence and reliability of its products by focusing on areas where market demand is already clear, thereby establishing a stable revenue base at an early stage.
Going forward, the company plans to gradually expand its business scope to next-generation test equipment product lines that require advanced technical capabilities, such as optical-electrical packaging (CPO) testing and high-speed memory testing. Through this, the company aims to continuously strengthen its product lineup and further enhance its market competitiveness.
A YEST Co.,Ltd. official stated, “Based on Yonata Electronics’ test technology and extensive experience—which have been recognized by the world’s leading semiconductor companies—we expect that combining YEST Co.,Ltd.’s cutting-edge semiconductor equipment manufacturing capabilities, robust production infrastructure, and global marketing network will enable both companies to generate powerful synergies,” adding "We will do our utmost to complete the establishment of the joint venture without delay by the end of September and swiftly advance product R&D and market entry to secure a solid competitive advantage and establish a leading market position in the global semiconductor test equipment market," the official added.
