[Edaily Reporter An Yu-ri ] Due to a lull in new game releases, NEOWIZ(095660)’s operating profit for the second quarter of 2026 fell 57.3% year-over-year to 7.9 billion won. On the 12th, NEOWIZ announced that its consolidated operating profit for the second quarter of 2026 was 7.9 billion won, a 57.3% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Second-quarter revenue was 102.1 billion won, down 7% year-over-year but up 1% quarter-over-quarter. Operating profit was 7.9 billion won, down 57% year-over-year but up 14% quarter-over-quarter.
Net income was 18.4 billion won, reflecting factors such as increased valuation gains on financial assets. In the second quarter of 2026, NEOWIZ recorded revenue at a level similar to the previous quarter, as growth in the mobile segment complemented the stabilization of the PC and console segments.
Revenue from the PC and console games segment totaled 37.3 billion won, down 35% year-over-year and 6% quarter-over-quarter. Major titles such as *P’s Lie* and *Shape of Dreams* have entered a period of stable sales following their launches, and a negative base effect occurred due to the release of the DLC *P’s Lie: Overture* in June of last year.
Revenue from the mobile games segment reached 53.2 billion won, up 21% year-over-year and 4% quarter-over-quarter, driving growth for the quarter. The success of the 3rd-anniversary campaign and content updates for “Brown Dust 2” played a key role. “Cat & Soup” saw a rebound in user metrics thanks to a collaboration with Sanrio IP, and this was further bolstered by the initial performance of “Cat & Soup: Magic Recipe,” which launched globally last April.
Other revenue reached 11.6 billion won, a 37% increase compared to the same period last year.

Park Seong-jun, Head of the New Game Development Group, was appointed Co-CEO on the same day following approval by the board of directors. With this, NEOWIZ has transitioned to a co-CEO system led by Park Seong-jun and Bae Tae-geun.
By placing CEO Park Seong-jun—who led the global success of *P’s Lie*—at the forefront of management with his development leadership, the company aims to consolidate its new title development capabilities, while CEO Bae Tae-geun will oversee management tasks centered on technology-based new businesses and infrastructure operations. Additionally, the company will focus on discovering new IPs, global publishing, and stable live operations centered on three pillars: the New Title Development Group, the Global Business Group, and the Live Game Business Group.
Building on this new structure, the company aims to expand its performance in the second half of the year. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of *P’s Lie: Complete Edition*, released on the 6th, scored 86 on Metacritic, achieving the highest rating in the *P’s Lie* franchise. A physical package version is also scheduled for global release this October. In the second half of this year, the company plans to expand the MMORPG “Kingdom 2,” which launched on the 5th, into the Greater China market, followed by the global release of the published title “Hello Seoul: Itaewon Edition.”
The pipeline of new titles has also expanded. In-house development titles such as “The Lie of P: Next Chapter,” “Project Rubicon,” “Project Windy,” and “Project CF” are progressing as planned, while “Project FN”—based on a subculture universe—and the narrative CRPG “Wind Up Deadman,” a published title, have been added to the new lineup.
Co-CEO Park Seong-jun stated, “We have taken the first step toward expanding the experience we’ve accumulated on the development front lines into all aspects of management,” adding, “By focusing the company’s capabilities on developing new titles, we will create a new hit IP that resonates in the global market, following in the footsteps of ‘P’s Lie.’”
