The newly introduced “DRM Source Code Security” solution differs from existing solutions by adopting a virtualization-based isolation protection method, allowing it to be used across various development environments with minimal inconvenience while securely protecting source code—an organization’s core asset.

Source code contains a company’s technical expertise, development know-how, and core intellectual property (IP), so its leakage can significantly undermine a company’s competitiveness. In response, FASOO AI’s newly introduced source code security solution moves beyond the traditional method of encrypting files individually at the application level. Instead, it employs a virtualization-based protection approach that minimizes system load compared to existing methods, thereby maintaining the development environment. By isolating and encrypting the development environment itself, it resolves the performance degradation issues caused by repetitive file-level operations and maintains work productivity. At the same time, it is not tied to specific applications and can be applied to a variety of development tool environments, reducing the hassle of having to manually maintain the solution with each individual app update. Furthermore, developers can store data only on designated secure drives; storage on unauthorized individual drives is prohibited, thereby preventing data leaks by insiders.

FASOO AI’s source code security is available as an extension of “Fasoo Enterprise DRM (FED) 6.” FED 6, FASOO AI’s flagship data security solution, encrypts documents across both local and cloud environments and provides role-based access control and tracking capabilities. Through integration with FED 6, source code can also utilize features such as capture prevention, screen watermark insertion, clipboard control, print blocking, and usage history tracking.
