[Edaily Reporter Park Jung-Soo ] Industrial AI solutions provider E8IGHT Co., Ltd(418620)(E8) announced on the 4th that it is moving up the payment date for its ongoing third-party private placement by two weeks. With the accelerated schedule, the capital increase is expected to be completed ahead of schedule, which should help speed up the expansion of AI-related business areas, such as ontology and physical AI operating systems.
E8 held a board of directors meeting and resolved to change the payment date for the share subscription from September 28 to September 14. The scheduled listing date for the new shares will also be moved up from October 14 to September 30. This capital increase involves the issuance of 5,955,143 common shares at 678 won per share, raising approximately 4 billion won. The funds raised will be used entirely for the acquisition of securities from other companies, and all newly issued shares will be subject to a one-year lock-up period.
An E8 official stated, “Since the subscription process is proceeding even more smoothly than originally planned, we were able to move up the schedule. With the completion of this capital increase, our debt-to-equity ratio—which was previously at 100%—will decrease, and our capital structure will become more sound, enabling us to expand our client base more aggressively.” The official added, “Demand in the industrial AI market is growing significantly, and with numerous AI projects currently progressing smoothly, the company’s performance is also expected to improve rapidly.”
