The plan is to combine OneStore’s app market and content distribution capabilities with NEXUS’s artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and payment infrastructure to integrate game distribution, payments, and on-chain services into a single platform.

NEXUS announced on the 29th that it held a board of directors meeting and resolved to conduct a comprehensive stock swap to make OneStore a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Last June, NEXUS acquired an 89.03% stake in OneStore from SKSQUARE(402340)and Naver (NAVER(035420)). Subsequently, this month, it acquired additional shares held by KTCorporation(030200)and LG Uplus(032640), raising its ownership stake to 95.88%.

Once NEXUS acquires the remaining shares through this stock swap, OneStore will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of NEXUS.

On-Chain Under One Structure

With OneStore becoming a wholly-owned subsidiary, NEXUS plans to operate game distribution, payment processing, and on-chain infrastructure within a single framework.

The strategy is to enhance the competitiveness of its global gaming platform by combining OneStore’s app market and digital content distribution capabilities with NEXUS’s AI, blockchain technology, and payment infrastructure.

OneStore is the second-largest app store in South Korea in terms of game transaction volume. On the 31st of last month, it launched “OneStore Global” in 122 countries and secured more than 1,000 types of content.

In collaboration with Tencent, it also introduced “ONEplay,” a mini-game service that can be played without installation.

It is also expanding into the AI gaming sector. OneStore became the first app store to open “AI Games,” a dedicated section for AI-created games, and starting next month, it will be renamed “AI Games” and opened to all developers. The company plans to support individuals and small-scale developers in registering, distributing, and monetizing games created using AI.
