[Edaily Reporter Ham Ji-Hyun ] Tae Young Construction ( TAEYOUNG ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION(009410)) announced on the 14th that it will begin sales of the “Gochang Desian” apartment complex—a mix of public and private units—this coming November.

Gochang Desian is a public and private apartment complex comprising a total of 888 units, located in Blocks B2 and B3 of the Deoksan District in Gochang. By exclusive floor area, it consists of 711 units at 84㎡, 101 units at 104㎡, and 76 units at 125㎡. A key feature of the project is its mix of unit sizes, centered on the 84㎡ units for actual homebuyers while also catering to those seeking more spacious living environments. Block B2 will house 357 units, and Block B3 will house 531 units. The TAEYOUNG ENGINEERING & CONSTRUCTION consortium is responsible for construction, and the residential brand “Desian” will be applied. As this is a public and private sale, the sales price cap system applies to all units except for some medium-to-large unit sizes.

The Deoksan District, where the complex is located, is an urban development project being built on a site of approximately 150,000 square meters. A total of 1,211 households—comprising both apartment complexes and single-family homes—are planned for the entire district. Along with residential facilities, roads, parking lots, parks and green spaces, as well as quasi-residential and commercial facilities, are scheduled to be developed. It is being developed not as a single-purpose housing project but as a planned new living district equipped with a variety of infrastructure.

Gochang’s industrial base is also expanding. The Deoksan District has been developed with the primary objective of creating a live-work environment to accommodate companies moving into the industrial complex and providing housing for their employees. At the nearby Gochang New Vitality Industrial Complex, SamsungElectronics is investing a total of 350 billion won to construct a smart hub complex spanning approximately 180,000 square meters.

The area is also well-equipped with community infrastructure. Located around the complex are the Gochang County Office, the Gochang Culture Terminal, Hanaro Mart, the Gochang Traditional Market, and Gochang Hospital. Cultural and recreational facilities, such as the Hwang Yun-seok Library, the Gochang Indoor Gymnasium, and the Gochang Cultural Center, are also nearby. In terms of educational facilities, schools at all levels—including Gochang Nam Elementary School, Gochang Middle School, and Gangho Aviation High School—are located within walking distance.

Nearby attractions such as Gochang County Fortress, Gochang Nature Park, Nodong Reservoir, and Wolgok Neighborhood Park allow residents to enjoy nature up close. Three parks and four green spaces are planned for the Deoksan District, with a total area of 28,820 square meters—accounting for approximately 19% of the district’s total area.

A sales representative stated, “Gochang Desian is Gochang’s first apartment complex developed by a top-tier construction company, and its key feature is that residents can enjoy both the existing lifestyle infrastructure of Gochang-eup and the benefits of a newly planned residential area.” The representative added, “With the expansion of the industrial base and the supply of new housing aligning, we anticipate strong interest from actual homebuyers looking for a new home in Gochang.”
