[Edaily Reporter YUN GI BACK ] Singer Kim Gun-mo is stepping up his musical activities to mark the 35th anniversary of his debut. Following his return to the stage with a nationwide tour, he is now teaming up with a new musical partner to produce a new album, signaling a full-scale resumption of his activities.

Music & New, the music division of content media group NEW, announced on the 26th that it has formed a partnership with Kim Gun-mo to collaborate on his future music activities.
Through this collaboration, Music & NEW plans to support the production, distribution, and marketing of Kim Gun-mo’s music content, including the release of his new songs and albums. Kim Gun-mo is currently recording his new album while concurrently conducting his nationwide tour. The plan is to expand his activities—which resumed with a focus on live performances—to include albums and other content.
Kim Gun-mo signaled a musical shift last July with the release of his new song “Where Am I Headed?” In this track, which blends his distinctive vocal tone with lyrical melodies, he showcased a new direction by playing the acoustic guitar himself for the first time since his debut. As of this month, the music video has surpassed 1.6 million views.
His concert activities are also in full swing. Kim Gun-mo wrapped up the “2025–2026 Kim Gun-mo Live Tour” this past March, marking his first time performing in front of an audience in about six years. Both the Busan concert and the performance at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul were completely sold out, demonstrating his enduring ticket-selling power.
He is currently continuing his nationwide tour commemorating his 35th anniversary, “Kim Gun-mo: 35TH ANNIVERSARY LIVE TOUR.” The tour, which kicked off in Daegu on the 10th, serves as an opportunity to reflect on his 35-year musical journey while showcasing new musical directions. In addition to his signature piano performances, he has prepared stages where he reinterprets his hit songs using the guitar.
Kim Gun-mo will continue his performances starting in Jeonju on the 31st, followed by Gwangju on December 5 and Goyang on December 26. The tour is scheduled to continue into next year.
