Following the registration of the “Angelex M20” wearable robot for gait rehabilitation in Thailand, the company has now secured a foothold in the local market for its gait-assistance product as well. The company explained that the two products can be used complementarily depending on the patient’s physical condition and training stage.
The Angel Suit H10 is a wearable gait-assistance robot that was officially launched in South Korea last June. Equipped with seven high-precision sensors, it detects the user’s physical condition and intended movements, providing assistance tailored to those movements. It aids not only in walking but also in sitting down and standing up.
It also features a “resistance training mode” that applies resistance to movements, simulating an environment similar to exercising in water. Users can adjust the assistive force for the left and right sides separately based on their condition and training goals, and save their settings.
The company explained that demand for medical devices in Thailand is steadily increasing due to the growing elderly population and the spread of chronic diseases. Having secured medical device registrations in major Southeast Asian markets, the company plans to strengthen the product’s competitiveness by aligning it with each country’s regulations and local demand.
Kong Kyung-chul, CEO of ANGEL ROBOTICS Co., Ltd., stated, “This medical device registration in Thailand is significant in that it lays the foundation for the Angel Suit H10 to expand its product lineup in major Southeast Asian markets,” adding, “We will continue to strengthen our product competitiveness by adapting to the medical device regulations and local market conditions of each country.”
