[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] Daelim Trading ( DaelimTrading(006570)), a South Korean company specializing in bathroom and kitchen fixtures, announced on the 24th that it has been selected as a supplier for the “JY Series,” the next-generation integrated water purifier faucet developed by Japanese home infrastructure company Takagi (TAKAGI), and has begun mass production. (Photo courtesy of DaelimTrading) DaelimTrading explained that it has reliably supplied the JH, JA, and JL series to Takagi for approximately 30 years since their first transaction in 1998, and by securing this order for the flagship JY series, it has once again been recognized for meeting Japan’s high quality standards and demonstrating strong production capabilities. Sales to Takagi amount to approximately 15.6 billion won annually, forming the core foundation of the company’s Japanese business. Daelim Trading plans to continue enhancing its product portfolio in Japan through the high-value-added JY Series, which features a surface-mounted installation method and various functions. Building on its long-term supply relationship with Takagi, DaelimTrading is also moving to expand the supply of high-value-added products to major Japanese customers. For Panasonic Housing Solutions, the company intends to broaden its supply range beyond the existing focus on washbasin mixer faucets to include premium “touchless” automatic faucets, while for WATER STAND, it plans to strengthen its business relationship by expanding the supply of related components such as faucets for water purifiers, flexible hoses, and eccentric pipes. The Japanese housing equipment market is considered a prime example of a market with high barriers to entry, requiring high quality standards and a proven track record of long-term supply. DaelimTrading explains that it is strengthening its competitiveness in overseas business by expanding cooperation with major Japanese customers, leveraging its supply history and quality management capabilities accumulated over approximately 30 years. A DaelimTrading official stated, “Being selected as a supplier for Takagi’s next-generation models is a result of recognition for our long-standing quality competitiveness and stable production capabilities,” adding, “Based on our collaboration with major Japanese clients, we will expand the proportion of high-value-added products and continue to strengthen our profitability-focused business structure.”
