PearlAbyss Corp. announced on the 25th that “Red Desert” has been nominated in two categories—△ Most Epic and △ Best PC Game—at the Gamescom Awards, which selects the best titles among those showcased at Gamescom.

A panel of experts will first select the nominees for each category, and the final winners will be announced on the 28th based on votes from the judging panel, Gamescom attendees, and viewers. Voting by attendees and viewers begins at 4:00 p.m. on the 26th (Korea Standard Time).

“Epic” is a game that has made a strong impression with its epic narrative and intense gameplay. “Best PC Game” recognizes titles that have delivered outstanding polish and gaming experiences on the PC platform.

Red Desert ranked second in cumulative sales on the 2026 U.S. video game sales chart (according to market research firm Circana) and first in Steam revenue among new IPs in 2026 (according to global market analytics firm Alinea Analytics). PearlAbyss Corp. will participate in Gamescom alongside SamsungElectronics from August 26 to 30. Visitors will be able to experience the vast open world of Red Desert on PCs equipped with SamsungElectronics’ world-first 6K gaming monitor, the “Odyssey G8,” among other hardware.
