[Edaily Reporter KIM AH-REUM ] Paper from a domestic paper manufacturer is being used in a solo exhibition by contemporary artist and stage designer “S. Devlin,” who has been responsible for stage design for world-renowned musicians such as U2, Beyoncé, and Adele, as well as for major global events including the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics and the opening ceremony of the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics.

Hansol Paper Co., Ltd.(213500)announced on the 25th that it is sponsoring its premium eco-friendly paper for the solo exhibition of world-renowned artist S. Devlin, currently on view at the art space “Futura Seoul” in Jongno, Seoul.

The solo exhibition, titled “The Third Poem: S. Devlin, Back Home,” will run from August 20, 2026, through January 17 of next year. As her first solo exhibition in Korea, it is generating significant anticipation within the domestic arts and culture community as an opportunity to view her work in Seoul ahead of her exhibition scheduled for 2027 at the Design Museum in London.

“Screen Share,” the exhibition’s signature installation, is a large-scale, participatory piece created using 90,000 sheets of paper to reproduce the artist’s drawings and sketches accumulated over several decades. Paper serves as the core material defining the work’s space, and visitors can tear off individual sheets—which are part of the artwork—and take them home. Consequently, the artwork’s appearance continuously evolves as the exhibition progresses.

The “Inspur Signature Eco” paper used in this work is Hansol Paper Co., Ltd.’s premium eco-friendly paper made from 100% recycled pulp. In this collaboration, it serves not merely as a material for printing but as a medium that shapes the work’s spatial composition and connects with the visitors’ experience; its excellent printability and texture are said to have perfectly supported S. Devlin’s signature grand presentation.

The audience-participatory experience centered on paper also draws attention. It goes beyond simply viewing the artwork, allowing visitors to actively participate as part of the exhibition. Within Futura Seoul, a separate drawing zone inspired by the exhibition’s main theme of “drawing” has been created, featuring large rolls of paper provided by Hansol Paper Co., Ltd. Visitors can freely draw on the long, unfurled sheets of paper, enjoying a meaningful experience as they become part of the exhibition in their own unique way.
