KT Studio Genie announced on the 31st that ENA’s Monday-Tuesday drama *The Scarecrow* won the Best Actor Award at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, and *Honor: Women in the Courtroom* was selected for the “Bechdel Choice 10.”

At the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards held on the 31st of last month, Park Hae-soo, the lead actor of “The Scarecrow,” received the Best Actor award. “The Scarecrow” was nominated in a total of six categories—including Best Series, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best New Actor, and Best New Actress—making it the most-nominated series at the event.

Based on a true story, “The Scarecrow” garnered attention from the very beginning of its broadcast thanks to its immersive direction and solid screenplay. As the series progressed, it broke its own viewership records, with the final episode recording a nationwide rating of 8.1% and an 8.3% rating in the Seoul metropolitan area, according to Nielsen Korea’s paid household data.

The performances by actors such as Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-joon, and Kwak Sun-young were also well-received, and the series was praised for achieving both genre excellence and mass appeal.

“Honor: Their Courtroom” was named in the “Bechdel Choice 10” series category, which selects content addressing gender equality and cultural diversity.

This year, “Honor: Their Courtroom” was praised for addressing the complex relationships between perpetrators, victims, and supporters, as well as the diverse experiences of survivors, all while maintaining the entertainment value of the genre.

First aired last February, “Honor: Their Courtroom” is a mystery thriller in which three female lawyers—who founded a law firm dedicated to victims rather than perpetrators—confront past cases and a massive scandal.

The series was praised for its timely portrayal of social issues through the story of female lawyers defending victims of gender-based violence and sexual crimes. The chemistry between actors Lee Na-young, Jung Eun-chae, and Lee Chung-ah, along with the collaboration between director Park Geon-ho and writer Park Ga-yeon, was also credited with enhancing the show’s quality.

“Honor: Their Courtroom” also achieved success at the “Bechdelian” Awards. In the Bechdelian Producer category—which selects “Person of the Year” in the director, writer, actor, and producer categories from among the 10 works selected for the “Bechdel Choice 10”—KTCorporation Director Choi Han-gyeol, How Pictures CEO Park Jin-hyung, and Deputy CEO Son Jae-sung were honored.

KT Studio Genie is expanding its drama content business with productions such as “The Good Woman, Bu Se-mi” and the “New Recruit” series. The recently concluded ENA Monday-Tuesday drama “Dream for You” ranked No. 1 for three consecutive weeks on the global OTT platform Rakuten Viki, based on viewership across more than 100 countries, including major markets such as the United States, Brazil, France, India, and the United Arab Emirates.
