[Edaily Reporter Yun Junghoon ]KTCorporation(030200)has unveiled a comprehensive AI service strategy for the public that goes beyond simple question-and-answer interactions to directly solve and address real-life problems faced by citizens. Through the “AI for All” initiative led by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the plan aims to integrate more than 60 million service touchpoints in citizens’ daily lives—including public services, education, finance, and shopping—into a single AI experience.
During an online briefing held on the afternoon of the 11th, Lee Jin-hyung, Executive Vice President and Head of KTCorporation’s AX Business Division, introduced the KTCorporation Consortium’s “AI for All” business strategy. The core strategy of the consortium—comprising KTCorporation and numerous leading domestic AI and service companies such as Upstage, SALTLUX Inc., Daum, Musinsa, Zikbang, EBS, Masspresso, and BC Card (hereinafter referred to as the “KT Consortium”)—is to rapidly expand AI across various services and industries through “Ieum Inside.”

From “Search” to “Action”… The Birth of Korean-Style AI for Everyday Life
The core brand promoted by the KTCorporation Consortium is “E-UM.” Through its core strategy, “E-UM Inside,” the consortium aims to embed AI into various channels frequently used by the public—such as apps, the web, and IPTV—and build an open ecosystem that connects them into a single, universal AI agent.
A key feature is its focus on lifestyle services tailored to Korea—areas where foreign AI struggles to deliver solutions. It goes beyond simply searching for real estate, shopping, or public information to automatically handling follow-up actions.
For example, when “E-UM Inside” is applied to Zikbang, it proactively notifies users: “The actual transaction price for the apartment you were viewing has been updated and is now 50 million won lower than yesterday’s price.” For small business owners, it provides advance notice of delivery vehicle inspection deadlines and automatically handles reservations and schedule registration. In the public sector, it provides interactive guidance ranging from information on welfare benefits—such as basic pensions tailored to age and residence—to document issuance and application procedures.
Lee Jin-hyung, Executive Vice President and Head of KTCorporation’s AX Business Division, explained, “While there are many global AI services, there is still a shortage of AI that can perform sophisticated searches of domestic information and connect them to real-life actions.” He added, “We will enable users to naturally call upon and use AI within services they already use regularly, such as the ‘Daum’ portal and the price comparison platform ‘Danawa.’”

Combining Domestic AI Models and NPUs… Maximizing Efficiency with
“Token Factory”
KTCorporation’s AI operations platform, “Token Factory,” will serve as the technical infrastructure underpinning the service.
Rather than relying on a single AI model, it will integrate and operate various domestic AI models—including Upstage (Solar), Motif Technologies (Motif), SALTLUX Inc. (LUXIA), NC AI (VARCO), and KTCorporation (Mideum)—along with Rebellion’s NPU and infrastructure optimization technologies from LabUp and Vessel AI. “Model routing” technology, which automatically assigns the optimal model based on the question and context, will also be applied.
In particular, TokenFactory has separated the prompt processing and response generation processes, improving token throughput per minute (TPM) by approximately 31%, while simultaneously ensuring resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness by reducing input tokens by up to 80% through prompt compression technology.
KTCorporation is also implementing offline field support measures to bridge the AI technology gap. Leveraging its digital education infrastructure—which has served over 150,000 people annually—the company plans to directly visit vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, to assist with app installation and usage guidance, and will also provide dedicated voucher cards.
Lee Jin-hyung, Senior Vice President and Head of KTCorporation’s AX Business Division, stated, “By fostering an open AI ecosystem through ‘Ieum Inside,’ we will not only be part of the public’s daily lives but also introduce AI services for all citizens that include even the digitally excluded through various service touchpoints.” He added, “Based on ‘Token Factory’—which embodies KTCorporation’s capabilities and features a multi-model system of the highest standard in Korea—we will do our utmost to provide fast, accurate, stable, and optimal AI services.”
