[Edaily Reporter Shin Ha-yeon] Yoon Jeong-hyeok, CEO and largest shareholder of #PharosIBio, an AI-driven new drug development company, is purchasing additional shares of the company.
Paros iBio announced on the 4th that CEO Yoon purchased 15,000 shares of the company’s stock on the open market. With this purchase, CEO Yoon’s total shareholding increased from 2,759,365 shares to 2,774,365 shares. His ownership stake also rose from 21.31% to 21.43%. The company explained that this share purchase reflects confidence in the R&D achievements and commercialization potential of its core new drug pipeline.
Pharos iBio is developing treatments for rare and intractable diseases based on its proprietary AI-driven drug discovery platform, "Chemiverse." Its key pipeline candidates include "Rasmotinib (PHI-101)" for acute myeloid leukemia (AML), "PHI-501" for solid tumors, and the next-generation menin inhibitor "PHI-601."
Lasmotinib has demonstrated safety and efficacy through a global Phase 1 clinical trial and is currently preparing to enter Phase 2 trials. Recently, the company confirmed an anti-cancer synergistic effect in a combination study with a menin inhibitor.
PHI-501 entered Phase 1 clinical trials in Korea this past January and is being developed as a treatment for solid tumors, including malignant melanoma. The company explained that it has demonstrated its competitiveness through research results published in international academic journals confirming the drug’s efficacy in settings where patients are resistant to existing treatments.
CEO Yoon Jeong-hyeok stated, “We believe the current stock price is undervalued relative to the company’s fundamentals, including its R&D achievements and commercialization potential,” adding, “We will do our utmost to enhance corporate value and shareholder value by seamlessly advancing the R&D of our core pipeline and our global commercialization strategy.”
