(Photo courtesy of KOLMAR KOREA) According to the Financial Supervisory Service on the 12th, Kolmar Korea’s ( KOLMAR KOREA(161890)) consolidated operating profit for the second quarter of this year was provisionally estimated at 110.3 billion won, a 50.2% increase from the previous year. Revenue rose 17.9% year-over-year to 861.3 billion won. Both revenue and operating profit reached all-time highs on a quarterly basis. Operating profit for the first half of this year stood at 189.2 billion won, a 41.8% increase from the previous year. Revenue for the same period grew 14.8% to 1.5893 trillion won. The expansion of global sales channels for indie brands, driven by the K-Beauty boom, is cited as the reason behind KOLMAR KOREA’s strong performance. A KOLMAR KOREA official stated, “Orders increased, particularly for skincare and suncare products, due to the expansion of indie brands’ global presence and the peak season effect for suncare products,” adding, “With the continued launch of new products by our global clients, we recorded our highest-ever quarterly performance.”
