[Edaily Reporter Kwon Oh Seok ] MDS Tech(086960), a company specializing in AI and embedded solutions, is participating in a domestic company’s humanoid home robot project and is set to begin a full-scale expansion of its physical AI business.

MDS Tech announced on the 20th that it has signed a contract to supply a “Jetson Full Package”—comprising NVIDIA Jetson modules and systems and sensors from global ecosystem partners—for a humanoid home robot project currently under development by a domestic company, Company A. The contract is valued at approximately 4 billion won.
This order is the largest single project secured by MDS Tech since the launch of its AI business division. The company explained that the capabilities it has built over the past 13 years in the NVIDIA embedded AI edge platform business have directly translated into tangible results in a physical AI project.
MDS Tech has provided in-depth technical support for the NVIDIA Jetson Orin-based AI computing platform since the early stages of development and is also participating in the process of advancing the development environment based on the next-generation Jetson Thor.
Having identified Physical AI as its next-generation growth engine early this year, the company is diversifying its business foundation in multiple ways. Last April, it partnered with Seoul National University to cultivate specialized talent in the fields of Physical AI and robotics, and is directly participating in education—along with providing equipment for the “Creative Engineering Design” course—to support students’ projects.
Furthermore, in July, the company strengthened its AI vision and sensing capabilities through an exclusive distribution agreement with SZ Sensing, an Elite Partner in NVIDIA’s Robotics and Vision division. Adding to this, through a collaboration with Unicorn, a provider of contactless connectivity solutions, the company has expanded its portfolio to include ultra-high-speed data connectivity technology—essential for robotics and autonomous driving environments.
An MDS Tech official stated, “Going forward, we will further refine our customized capabilities to cover the entire process—from the early stages of our clients’ development through technology validation, system optimization, and mass production.”
