Participants formed inter-university teams to tackle development projects utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) and software technologies, either on topics of their choice or in the field of enterprise resource planning (ERP). Among them, six teams developed business applications using AI coding tools from FlexStudio, a subsidiary of YoungLimWon SoftLab. Co., Ltd.
Participating students used FlexStudio’s “FlipFront” and “FlipBack” to implement user interfaces and server-side processing functions. In the open-topic category, teams integrated external application programming interfaces (APIs) and Supabase, a backend-as-a-service (BaaS) platform; in the ERP category, they developed business applications linked to YoungLimWon SoftLab. Co., Ltd.’s cloud ERP, “SystemEver.”
In the competition results, the Daesang in the Open Theme category was awarded to the team that developed “Trail,” a curriculum-based academic planning solution, while the Daesang in the ERP category went to the team that developed “Price Bridge ERP,” an AI-based system for managing supplier payment integration.
Among the teams that utilized FlexStudio’s AI coding tools, three teams—‘Minwon Soksok’ (a service for analyzing the causes of recurring public complaints), ‘Kkomul Kkomul’ (a child growth support service), and ‘WITH & GO’ (a system linking the receipt of donated food with on-site verification)—received the Grand Prize.
FlexStudio provides a development platform for web and mobile business systems that can be used for corporate sales, order management, inventory management, and after-sales service (AS). It can integrate with existing ERP systems and databases, and recently added AI coding capabilities to its low-code development environment.
FlipFront generates screens and source code based on natural language commands, while FlipBack supports the implementation of server-side business functions such as database queries, storage, and external API calls. Users can also utilize the existing platform’s user authentication, access control, and application deployment features.
Kwon Oh-rim, CEO of Flex Studio, said, “At this hackathon, we saw even students who were encountering AI coding tools for the first time use them to develop business applications on their own,” adding, “We will continue to advance our AI-based development capabilities and support companies in utilizing data from their existing ERP and business systems more conveniently.”
